I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner, now I have to go back to vegas again at some point.
I do find the Forever stamp fascinating. Imagine in a thousand years from now with flying cars and shit like that, and this stamp would still be good. Isn’t that awesome?
I haven’t died yet, been busy with paid works that I can’t show yet (NDA and stuff like that.) I’m also working on The Sisters’ Luck 2 and another story which hopefully I can finish the script soon.
I’ll also be attending ECCC, March 4th-6th, which will be the only con I’ll be attending in any foreseeable future. More about this later.
And here’s some random doodles. I’m always trying new ways to make a mess on papers.
What a lousy year, good riddance!
Now onto the laziest New Year art in the history of mankind.
Actually, I did something semi-nice for xmas, but didn’t post it anywhere.

fruits from my hometown, I honestly don’t know Thai name for it, much less English name. My parents only knew Khmer name, I won’t even try to spell it. X_X
This is not mysterious, it’s unripe mango, with sweet fish sauce dipping. (Made of fish sauce, lots of sugar, shallot, chili and I don’t know what else).
Pavlov’s Dream #38! The Sisters’ Luck was sighted in various bookstores, and people actually bought it! Thanks to everyone who did, and if you haven’t yet, please do. So I can keep on doing comics, Thanks! :)
I doodle while I write. Habit I got from school years I supposed.
First, the big news would be that Zuda, as it was, is no more.
They have eliminated the monthly competition entirely. It used to be that they pick 10 comics each month and let readers vote, which comic get most vote would get to be serialized on the site. Pavlov’s Dream which I co-created with @bicyclefish was in the January 2010 Competition (we ended up rank 6). I admitted that I both like and hate being in the competition. January was the most stressful month so far and I was glad it was over. But I’m definitely sad to see that there will be no more competition. After all, it was the reason that Pavlov’s Dream was born. I have 2 more stories I was working on which I had to put on hold for now, just to see what will happen next. My guess would be that Zuda will move to ‘instant win only’ model, which is at best, one comic every few months. I feel like the door was definitely shut. But we will see, @bicyclefish wrote a thought on this as well, check it out if you are curious.
Here’s some drafts of Zuda entry that will never be:
I might try to adapt these two to some other format, or maybe there will be other venues open up in the future, who knows.
I’m currently working on sisters’ luck book 2, speaking of which, I need to finish website for it, at least before the book comes out.
On a more personal news; I’m going back to school, in pursue of a bachelor degree. A degree in which I don’t know what the hell I’m going to do with it. But I guess Bachelor degree is the new high school and it’s your civic duty to finish it, or something.
There’s nothing caught my eyes on the internet this week, not even Youtube cat, On to next week!
I’m working hard on my comics, that’s why I’m posting less lately. There’s one main project I’m working on, one side project, and 3 other ideas I’m developing, a bunch of oneshots ideas. I wish I could draw faster just so I can get these stuff outta my head and on to the papers.
argh anyway, here’s some art!
First, Finished CG!
There’s bigger size on DA, check it out.
Second, These are inspired by Faith Erin Hicks’s post here. Quick art is fun.

Each are done in a couple of minutes, I should really do more of these, any requests? XD
This one is for my on-again off-again online comic, I relaunched it recently, but still running old materials, I’ll let you know here when there’s new stuff up there. (and there will be!)
Random doodle to test new ink/brush, I’m settling for windsor & newton series 7 size 2, and speedball ink, altho it’s a bit too thin for my taste, I’ll try other inks later.
This, is something I tried to do now and then, because I’m in no position to attend life drawing class or stuff like that, I pause DVD and sketch after it, this is from Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. (I know it’s not the same thing as life drawing, but it’s the next best thing for me)
Lastly, a CG WIP. not sure if I’ll get to finish this one.
Till next time, ta!
got tired of inking, so I played with colors.
I want to do proper color piece using this style, but it would probably take all day *sigh*, plus I only have two brushes, had to clean them thoroughly after using it to ink, otherwise, you know, arrgh.
