I have been neglecting comic, in favor of spending my time trying to find out the way to do color illustration that I most enjoy.
I have always like rougher style but it is hard to achieve for me, how can you leave it rough but also looked finish? I envy anyone who able to pull that off with ease. To me, it was a conscious struggling effort, but I tried.

started with doodle, I actually didn’t know what I was going to draw at this point, bad practice!

I think Ducks made everything better.

how about some dessert?

and maybe flowers, PINK flowers.

and Geta, can’t do without that.

Now finishing up.
I like this workflow quite alot, it’s like a combination of painting and drawing, before, I either paint without lineart, or do lineart and ‘coloring’, this is sorta inbetween. I’m started to get the hang of it, expect more like this later!
got tired of inking, so I played with colors.
I want to do proper color piece using this style, but it would probably take all day *sigh*, plus I only have two brushes, had to clean them thoroughly after using it to ink, otherwise, you know, arrgh.

It started with helping a friend with some quick graphic.

Then I realized, hey, I can do this pretty fast, each one take less than 5 mins. Why not do more for fun?

I’m hooked, I have to wonder why didn’t I do this sooner? it’s fast, it’s fun. I’ll totally do more of this kinda sketch in the future.
