i *touched* the iPhone
I should have written about my time in El Paso first, but there’s alot of photo to go through and a lot of stories to tell, so I guess I’ll wait till we (me and Kayay) are back at Seattle. They can wait.
iPhone can’t!

I really didn’t expect to get to try on real -working- iphone, I figure I just wanted to see how it goes at the store, and maybe seeing iphone in glass box, so I pestered Kayay to drive to nearest at&t store, one of the two here, (there’s no apple store in El Paso T^T) we arrived about 20 or 15 mins before closing time, which turn out to be a good decision, there wasn’t many people in there, and to my surprise, there’s actually two real working units of iPhone in the store (not the silly dummy models) and one of the guy playing it surrendered it to me, bahahahaha. I tried everything on it, even putting some note on to see how the keyboard works (much better than normal cellphone) the ipod function (nifty) the camera, etc. too bad the internet didn’t work, I think it was either the network was overloaded or they disabled the net connection, although I did try the UI and I must say, it’s much better than anything else in the hand held category. It works like they advertised it, I think that’s what matter most.
you know what I wanted? I want apple to release a device like iPhone but sans the phone! maybe kinda like super mac micro? with touch screen and all, something that you would wanted to keep it with you all the times without looking like a geek carrying laptop everywhere, and it runs those little widget thingy along with ipod and internet where you keep it with you to use it offline and online when there’s wifi available, no need for phone carrier or costly monthly plan, or anything, hell, and maybe let it play DS game too.
call it iPad or something XD
