I got US VISA!!! That mean I CAN go to San Diego comic con this year!!! WAIIIII I have been waiting to attend since like 8 years ago, and I finally really really get to go!

Wow, This is so unreal.

I have been anxious all MONTH, no, scrap that, MONTHS, fidgeting, worrying, close to nervous breakdown. I have heard from virtually everyone just about how HAAAAAARD US visa is, about how people who has all the bases covered still got denied. I’ve read through what was needed, they need you to proof that you have ties to your country and that you will definitely come back, they need to know you are not going to be illegal immigrants, the tie should be something like, you already married, you have lots of assets, houses, cars, money, have stable jobs or still study.

I have none of above.

now you see why I worried so much, the visa process itself cost 100$ non-refundable, not really cheap for me, I actually enter the process with a tiny tiny bit of hope that I will get it, I gathered all the documents that MIGHT be needed as best as I could, double, triple checked them all, then went through them all over and over, imagining how the interview would go, what would they ask and what would I answer, possibility of argument, updating my bank accounts, trying to pad them up to look like I actually have enough money to go, (barely)

all that for naught.

all it takes was the letter from SLG and a bunch of my comics I bought with me!!

I arrived at the embassy a bit before 8 AM, I had the interview appointment at 9AM but I actually got interviewed at 11AM! 3 hours waiting, the interview lasted 3 minutes.

she asked if I’m to go to comic con to promote my book (yes) and if I always work with US companies (no) and asked if I brought any copies of my works with me, (I brought them all) and that was it, she said, you have proofed it, we are going to give you visa, we will send it back via mail, thank you very much.

That’s it.

I walked out of the room in dazed and I realized, she didn’t even ask to see my bank account! nor any other documents I brought with me! That was so odd, so unlike what I have heard. not that I complain tho, I thank every spirits and guardians those that I haven’t believed or haven’t even known, there is no other explanation besides luck!

after playing games on a really pathetic 15″ tv that you can’t see top or bottom edge of the games thus not able to see any hp bars in so many games, (I finished SoC without realizing that colossi actually have hp bar, go me) I finally resort to drastic measure, by ‘borrowing’ tv from parent’s room (they only sleep in there!) and making a make-shift tv stand from collection of my manga phonebook for it, XD

I bought these books while I was in highschool, most of them are nakayoshi (sailormoon/rayearth era!) some are LaLa (for PPOI), Ultra Jumps (for GUNNM) and magazine Z (for.. what? I can’t remember , haha) I considered it an investment, a.. study? they certainly served me well despite the fact that I can’t read japanese beyond kiyaaaa :)

another world ends dream, this time with lava erupting from the ground randomly, sans volvano, some of them are ice blue color, rather pretty, and beside having to run away from lava, there’s monsters too! looked suspiciously like guildwars mobs, and my skill that can cut them in half has 5-sec casting time, so while I was casting, alot of my friend died fighting them, but it was the only skill that can kill them :D

and then the dream change to a story of some girl having to relocate to alaska, that her parents died suddenly and left a will instruct her to stay with grandmother she never knew in the middle of nowhere in alaska, and she got siberian husky and live happily ever after.
