I just read Deathnote today. 4 issues tho there’s already 10 issues available, I knew it came out ages ago, it was published here in Thailand about the same time it was published in Japan, but, well, I haven’t bought any new manga for ages, can’t fault me :D

I didn’t like it at first to be honest, I detest characters that are too perfect, and you can’t deny that two main characters are so perfect it’s almost comical. but after reading a while, I sort of get used to it, it was indeed fun and I can see why it is so popular, but the one point that nag me (besides superperfect characters) is that, there’s too much conversation, not enough action T^T all they did was talking, it’s almost like MMR, all they did was talking, discussing, debating, and they did scary face with thunder background when they think they have reached conclusion, funny stuff.

I like the art very much tho, but I have a feeling that the artist wouldn’t draw any hardcore fighting scene anytime soon, hikaru no go and now this, pity.

ps. to lj user zephranthes: apparently, the manga I mentioned that also drawn by this mangaka is called ‘Karakurizoshi Ayatsuri Sakon’ ( according to wikipedia, I just remembered the puppet is called Sakon XD) maybe you can find it.
